One of the Washington, DC area’s oldest firms, Jackson & Campbell can trace its roots to 1887, more than a century ago. A founding partner of the firm’s current structure was Ed Campbell, one of Washington’s most admired and respected attorneys. In the late 1950s, Ed successfully argued a landmark case in court about desegregating the Virginia public school system. The Washington Post wrote: “In life as in court, Ed Campbell fought injustice with a passion, insisting that freedom be accorded citizens without regard to color or belief.”
