Jackson & Campbell has a long and storied history of promoting and supporting equal opportunity for all people. Ed Campbell, one of the founders of the firm, played a pivotal role, along with his wife Elizabeth, in the desegregation of the Arlington County, Virginia schools in the 1950s and remained deeply involved in the Civil Rights Movement during the 1960s.

Jackson & Campbell strives to continue Mr. Campbell's tradition of promoting diversity in the workplace. It firmly believes that diversity encourages and strengthens a collegial environment in which individuals with different backgrounds can collaborate to serve the needs of their clients while developing their full potential, a key to individual satisfaction and professional success.

Jackson & Campbell’s commitment to diversity is spearheaded by its Diversity Committee, whose members actively identify, develop, and support programs and policies designed to attract, mentor, and retain qualified and diverse individuals. Only through such actions can Jackson & Campbell both accurately reflect the diverse makeup of the Washington metropolitan area in which its attorneys live and provide quality legal services tailored to address the individual needs of its clients both locally and throughout the United States.
