On March 23 and March 30, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, respectively (hereinafter collectively the "Act"), which impose new responsibilities on employers and employer-sponsored group-health plans.
