Clifton M. Mount joined Jackson & Campbell in 2005 as a Director in the Real Property and Asset Management and General Litigation Practice Groups. Immediately prior to joining Jackson & Campbell, P.C., Cliff served as assistant general counsel for a large, national real estate services company and its wholly owned title insurance underwriter. Cliff also currently serves as General Counsel and Vice President to Military Benefit Association, an approximately 100,000 member non profit association sponsoring benefits to military personnel, their dependants and veterans.
Over the years, Cliff has been a partner in several law firms in Washington, D.C. Since 1988, he has represented individuals, Fortune 100 insurers, construction firms, and corporations in diverse matters nationally and in the greater D.C. metro area. Cliff has tried over 100 cases to verdict before juries, judges and administrative bodies with great success. He has also handled appeals that have resulted in a number of reported decisions. Cliff has, and continues to lecture extensively as a speaker for the National Business Institute as well as for clients and organizations.
His practice includes representation of corporations, businesses and individuals in real estate and general commercial matters.
Cliff has earned an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest recognition achievable for professional ability and ethics. He received a B.A. degree from Denison University in 1983 and a J.D. from Wake Forest University in 1988.
He is an active member of the Barristers, and is an avid golfer.
Cliff is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for Maryland and the District of Columbia, as well as the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
