David Rahnis is Senior Counsel at Jackson & Campbell and is a member of the Firm’s Real Property & Asset Management and Business Law Practice Groups since 2008. He focuses his practice on matters related to commercial Real Estate and corporate and business transactions.
David has represented major institutional landlords in office, retail and industrial leasing matters. In addition, he has represented a wide variety of tenants in lease negotiations, including health care providers, retail tenants and office space tenants. David also has significant experience working with clients to sell and acquire properties, and previously served as primary Real Estate counsel to an assisted living facility company purchasing raw land in multiple states. He has substantial experience in preparing and negotiating Real Estate purchase and sale agreements, reviewing and analyzing title and survey matters, and taking Real Estate transactions to closing.
In addition, David has experience assisting clients in the purchase and sale of operating businesses, including preparing stock purchase agreements and membership interest purchase agreements. He has also worked with numerous clients in the preparation of highly customized operating agreements and stockholders agreements. In particular, David has assisted clients in structuring corporate entities as required to qualify for specialized Federal Government contracting opportunities.
Prior to joining J&C, David was an associate at a regional firm based in Howard County, MD specializing in Real Estate , corporate and business transactions. In addition, David worked for several years as a Real Estate associate in the Baltimore, MD office of an international law firm.
David earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois, College of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Boston University.
David is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, Real Estate Section.
