Al Scanlan is a Director in Jackson & Campbell’s General Litigation practice group. He has over 30 years of experience handling complex civil cases as a litigation and trial attorney.
He focuses his practice on representation of businesses and individuals in complex litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels. Over the years, Al has represented clients in litigation involving diverse legal matters including the defense of class actions, corporate governance and derivative litigation, complex commercial real estate litigation, litigation involving design professionals, health care providers, attorneys and broker/dealers, testamentary disputes, and aviation disasters.
Al has lectured extensively on litigation process and trial practice.
He received his J.D., with honors, from University of Maryland. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Allegheny College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Al also has a Certificate in British History from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Al is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
