Ms. Rolain is an Associate in the Firm’s Insurance Coverage Practice Group. She represents insurance companies in coverage litigation in state and federal courts. Annette also provides clients with pre-litigation coverage analyses and recommendations regarding primary, umbrella, and excess liability policies.

Previously, Annette represented insurance carriers nationally in complex coverage litigation involving toxic torts, environmental pollution, and clergy abuse, from pre-litigation coverage analyses to settlement negotiations. She also represented clients in federal taking and environmental enforcement litigation against the federal government in the United States Court of Federal Claims. During law school, Annette interned in the Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division, focusing on issues of eminent domain.

Annette earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, where she was a member of the “Business Law Review” and represented clients as a student-attorney in the Civil Advocacy Clinical Program. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Annette is admitted to practice in Virginia and Washington, D.C. She is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Federal Claims.
