Ms. Ross is an Associate in the Firm’s Health Law Practice Group. With four years of experience in healthcare law and civil litigation, she focuses her practice on representing healthcare organizations and providers, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, in complex medical malpractice and regulatory compliance matters.
Throughout her career, Miranda has taken on cases involving claims of negligence, misdiagnosis, and wrongful death. She has also represented physicians before state medical boards in disciplinary proceedings, preparing comprehensive responses to complaints and document productions. Additionally, she has successfully advised healthcare organizations on data breach notifications and HIPAA compliance matters to mitigate potential liabilities.
Miranda’s clients value her ability to prepare expert witnesses, draft comprehensive pleadings and motions, conduct in-depth legal research on case law and regulatory standards impacting healthcare providers and assist with navigating Corporate Integrity Agreement Requirements. Her experience with these matters has led to favorable outcomes, dismissals or reduced damages.
Beyond significant health law matters, Miranda has counseled employers on disability discrimination lawsuits and employee benefits disputes and evaluated legal risks in real estate and corporate transactions. Miranda is the Subject Matter Representative for the American Bar Association, Health Law Section Post-Acute Care Continuum Task- Force.
