Notice and Terms of Use for Website
Thank you for visiting our website. It is important that you understand that your visit to our website, including your review of any publication or other material associated with our website, DOES NOT CREATE AN ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU AND JACKSON & CAMPBELL, P.C., OR ANY OF OUR ATTORNEYS, AND THAT NOTHING ON OUR WEBSITE IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. These and other terms of use for this website are further stated below.
We Are a District of Columbia-Based Law Firm
Jackson & Campbell, P.C. is a District of Columbia-based law firm. All of our attorneys are licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and our attorneys are all resident in the District of Columbia office. We have satellite offices in Maryland and Virginia where our lawyers who are licensed in those states may meet on occasion with clients for their convenience on an appointment-only basis. Our attorneys are licensed to practice law only in those jurisdictions, in addition to D.C., which are identified on their separate biographical summaries on this website. Our website is not intended to solicit clients from jurisdictions in which our attorneys are not licensed to practice or jurisdictions from which it would be unauthorized or inefficient to handle their matters from our D.C. office or our satellite offices. Many states have different rules governing attorney solicitation and advertising and this website may not be in compliance with the rules and requirements for websites in every state.
To the extent that the rules of a particular state require that we designate a single attorney responsible for the website, Jackson & Campbell, P.C. designates firm president John M. Matteo.
Do NOT Send Us Confidential Information
Please do NOT provide us with any information about a potential matter or any other sensitive material unless and until we form an attorney-client relationship with you. We cannot and do not accept all requests for legal services and we do not handle all types of cases. We cannot form an attorney-client relationship if doing so would create a conflict of interest for our firm. In addition, the formation of an attorney-client relationship requires mutual agreement on multiple factors, including agreement on our fees, the scope of representation and other terms and conditions of the representation. Only after a written retainer agreement has been signed by you and our firm may we then exchange information freely.
