Mr. Rahnis is Senior Counsel at Jackson & Campbell, P.C. and a member of the Firm’s Business and Real Estate Practice Groups. He focuses his practice on matters related to commercial real estate and corporate and business transactions.

A significant part of David’s practice is devoted to representing large residential cooperative associations, condominiums, and other community associations. As part of this practice, he advises clients with respect to a wide variety of community corporate governance matters. He has also negotiated numerous American Institute of Architects construction contracts and telecommunications agreements on behalf of associations.

In addition, David has substantial experience representing both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing matters, including office, healthcare, and retail leasing. David also works with clients to sell and acquire commercial properties and has significant experience in preparing and negotiating real estate purchase and sale agreements, reviewing and analyzing title and survey matters, and taking real estate purchase and sale transactions to closing.

On the business transactions side, David has experience assisting clients in the purchase and sale of operating businesses, including preparing stock purchase agreements and membership interest purchase agreements. He worked with many clients in the preparation of highly customized operating agreements and stockholders agreements. Additionally, David worked with a variety of business clients to file, maintain, and protect trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

David joined Jackson & Campbell in 2008. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Boston University. David is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. David is a member of the Community Associations Institute, Washington Metropolitan Chapter.
