Jackson Stafford concentrates his practice on real property litigation and disputes arising out of real estate transactions, including ownership and title-related controversies. He is an associate in the Firm’s Real Estate Litigation & Transactions and General Litigation & Trial Practice Groups. Jackson supports clients through all stages of litigation, including early case assessment, motion practice, discovery, hearings, and settlement discussions.
Jackson brings a broad litigation background to his real property practice, including experience managing active matters, preparing pleadings and dispositive motions, and working closely with clients on both immediate litigation needs and longer-term risk management. That foundation informs his day-to-day work in real property litigation, particularly where real estate issues intersect with contract disputes and broader commercial considerations.
In addition to his litigation practice, Jackson is particularly interested in representing small businesses and emerging companies. During law school, he participated in a startup law clinic, which reinforced his interest in helping founders and growing businesses navigate legal issues with practical, efficient guidance. That perspective informs his approach to matters involving closely held entities and transactions where timing, leverage, and business continuity are key considerations.
Jackson earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court team and the Journal of International Law. He also served as a summer clerk for the Honorable Richard E. Myers II of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. His academic and clerkship experience sharpened his research, writing, and oral advocacy skills and reinforced an approach to litigation grounded in careful analysis and clear presentation.
Jackson is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Georgia, and North Carolina. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing pickup basketball and supporting the New England Patriots.
